Frequently Asked Questions
Will the BlessGuard lock fit my door?
It's designed for standard inward-opening doors with a visible gap between the door and frame near the strike plate — this covers the vast majority of hotel, Airbnb, and home interior doors. It won't work on outward-opening doors, sliding doors, or doors without a standard frame.
Do I need any tools to install it?
No. It's a tool-free, no-drill design — you can install and remove it in seconds, which is why it's popular for travel.
Is it strong enough to actually stop someone?
It's built from heavy-gauge metal and is designed to significantly slow down or prevent a door from being pushed open, giving you time to react. Like any supplementary lock, it's not a substitute for a professionally installed security system — it's an added layer of protection, particularly useful when you don't control or trust the primary lock (e.g., a hotel room).
Can I bring it in my carry-on luggage?
Yes, it's a small metal device with no sharp edges or mechanisms restricted by standard airline carry-on rules, but if you're ever unsure, check with your airline or security authority directly before flying.
How many should I buy?
One is enough for a single door. If you want to secure multiple doors (e.g., every bedroom door at home, or a connecting hotel room door) our 2, 3, or 5-packs work out cheaper per unit.
